It’s been scientifically proven that frightening or hurting a dog inhibits its ability to think, learn, remember, problem solve or make choices, which is clearly counter-productive to the learning process. It destroys the dog's trust in people, compromises its quality of life and can lead to many unwanted behaviours including; destruction, house soiling, fear and aggression among others.
